UPP Renovation Project Update MeetingU

Cinema Renovation Project Update – Saturday 23rd March 2024 – FREE

Last year many UPP customers and community shareholders kindly participated in our consultation events and surveys to tell us what you thought about our current cinema facilities and gave feedback on our preliminary plans to renovate our historic cinema.

Our project team have been working hard since then to review feedback and develop plans further so that The Ultimate Picture Palace can be fully accessible for the first time as well as offer improvements to our cinema technical and customer experience facilities and decrease our impact on the climate.

We will be running two meetings on Saturday 23rd March, one for community shareholders and one for customers, to provide an update on this project from Stefanie Fischer (architect) and Micaela Tuckwell (Executive Director). The meeting will cover how the design has been updated, options for furnishings (including the opportunity to try out the seats that we are considering and give us your feedback!), an update to the timeline and a Q&A.

Plan your visit

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
