The Texas Chain Saw Massacre18

Directed by Tobe Hooper | USA | 1974 | 1h 23m | Starring Marilyn Burns, Edwin Neal, Allen Danziger, Paul A. Partain, Gunnar Hansen

When Sally learns of a possible vandalism incident at her grandfather’s grave, she and her brother decide to investigate. Along the way, they make a detour to their family’s old farmhouse, only to stumble upon a group of deranged outcasts residing nearby. Despite being filmed on a shoestring budget, Tobe Hooper’s gritty, intense, and transgressively nihilistic slasher film sparked widespread outrage upon its release, helping to pave the way for a new era of horror cinema in the 1970s. Back on the big-screen for the film’s 50th anniversary, restored in 4K for the very first time.
