The History Of Sound15
Lionel and David first meet at the Boston Conservatory, where they bond over a shared love of American folk music. Years later, after David returns from serving in the First World War, they reunite and spend a winter traveling through the forests and islands of Maine. Together, they collect and record folk songs, hoping to preserve them for future generations. Starring Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor, this is a tender, melancholic love story from the director of the Oscar-nominated period drama Living.

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
