She Said15

Directed by Maria Schrader | USA | 2022 | 2h 8m | Starring Carey Mulligan, Zoe Kazan, Patricia Clarkson, Andre Braugher, Jennifer Ehle

Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan star as New York Times journalists Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey, whose investigation pulled back the curtain on Harvey Weinstein’s serial abuse of women and shattered the silence around the subject of sexual assault in Hollywood. A snappy investigative thriller and powerful tribute to journalism, featuring sensitive performances and an outstanding score by award-winning composer Nicholas Britell (Moonlight, Succession).

‘Schrader’s sensitive, unshowy approach to the directing choices is a smart decision; this is a film that is respectful of and in service to the stories of the women.’
★★★★
Wendy Ide, The Observer

‘In Maria Schrader’s artful and incendiary She Said, we’re reminded of something else that makes for one hell of a movie: It was women who did it.’
★★★★
Kate Erbland, IndieWire
