Screen Cuba presents: Memories of UnderdevelopmentCert-TBC
After the Bay of Pigs Invasion, a wealthy writer remains in Cuba while his wife and family flee to Miami. As he drifts through the streets of Havana, his romantic entanglements and political indifference slowly give way to a deepening sense of alienation. Combining fragmented storytelling with documentary footage and still photography, this richly layered drama offers a striking portrait of life in post-revolutionary Cuba.
Reviews
‘Conjures up the uncertain mood of Havana just after the revolution…The effect is fascinating. This is a must-see.’

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
