Music At Oxford presents: Genius Within – The Inner Life of Glenn GouldU

Directed by Michele Hozer | Canada | 2009 | 1h 51m

Glenn Gould, the celebrated pianist, was enigmatic, brilliant, and endlessly fascinating, and he continues to inspire audiences decades after his untimely death. His music and writings reveal a restless, searching mind whose vision we are still striving to understand. Filmmakers Michèle Hozer and Peter Raymont bring Gould’s world to life through rare archival footage, intimate interviews with his closest friends, never-before-heard home recordings, and excerpts from his private diaries. The result is a rich, deeply human portrait of the man behind the myth and the enduring power of his music.

Screening in partnership with Music At Oxford.
