Stephen + Director Q&A15
Visual artist Melanie Manchot collaborates with a recovery group to develop a semi-fictional film inspired by Arrest of Goudie (the earliest recorded crime reconstruction and the first film produced in Liverpool) aiming to explore mental health through various viewpoints. Blurring the lines between fact and fiction, a local named Stephen auditions to portray himself in Melanie’s film, contributing to this innovative and poignant documentary about addiction.
One-off screening followed by a Q&A with the film’s director, Melanie Manchot.

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
