Sometimes I Think About Dying12A

Directed by Rachel Lambert | USA | 2023 | 1h 33m | Starring Daisy Ridley, Dave Merheje, Parvesh Cheena, Marcia DeBonis, Megan Stalter

Fran, an introverted office worker, seeks solace in her cubicle and finds comfort in the constant hum of her colleagues, occasionally daydreaming to pass the time. She feels like she’s sleepwalking through life until a colleague makes an effort to connect with her. This wryly comic and wistful romantic drama starring Daisy Ridley explores the tension between shyness, social anxiety, and the longing for companionship.

Reviews

‘For a film about the pull of death, there sure is a lot of life in this low-key charmer.’
★★★★
Kate Erbland, IndieWire

‘There’s little else by way of plot or drama, but that’s hardly the point. This is a film that’s simply about performance, on every level.’
★★★★
Kevin Maher, The Times
