Directed by Ross McElwee | USA | 2026 | 1h 56m

After the death of his son Adrian, Ross McElwee, a filmmaker who has spent his career pointing the camera at his own life, goes back through his archive of home movies. Did filming Adrian shape their relationship while he was alive? Does it shape it now that he’s gone? Meanwhile, an attempt to adapt McElwee’s first feature, Sherman’s March, as a fiction film keeps stalling, and it pushes him to think harder about filmmaking and mortality. The result is a searching, self-questioning film about time, and about the gap between documenting a life and understanding it.
