My Old Ass15

Directed by Megan Park | USA | 2024 | 1h 29m | Starring Aubrey Plaza, Maisy Stella, Percy Hynes White, Maddie Ziegler, Kerrice Brooks

An 18th-birthday mushroom trip leads Elliott to an unexpected encounter with her 39-year-old, wisecracking future self. As the older Elliott doles out advice on what to do—and avoid—her younger self is forced to reconsider everything she thought she knew about family, love, and what’s shaping up to be a life-changing summer. Aubrey Plaza and breakout star Maisy Stella deliver standout performances in this fresh coming-of-age comedy, blending sci-fi twists with humour and heart.

Reviews

‘As glossy and poppy as a studio comedy from the 2000s, a rich treat at a time when that has become the rare exception rather than the rule. It deserves to find an equally big audience, for asses both young and old.’
