Modern Art Oxford presents: REMOTECert-TBC
REMOTE follows five women living in different parts of the world – all of them fans of a popular South Korean dog-groomer-performer – who discover a mysterious portal hidden in each of their homes with universe-altering consequences. Co-created by Mika Rottenberg and Mahyad Tousi, REMOTE is set in a post-pandemic near future, exploring what it means to be connected in an age of technology and convenience.
Screened at Ultimate Picture Palace Presented by Modern Art Oxford in association with Artangel.

REMOTE was commissioned by Artangel; the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Humlebaek, Denmark; and Moderna Museet, Stockholm, Sweden; in association with Hauser & Wirth. The film was completed with support by MOCA’s Environmental Council, Los Angeles; Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, Canada; X Museum, Beijing, China; and the Busan Biennale, Korea

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
