Don’t Worry Darling15

Directed by Olivia Wilde | USA | 2022 | 2h 3m | Starring Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Kiki Layne

In the 1950s, a group of families are placed into an idealised community, where the men work on a top-secret project and the wives enjoy the luxury of a seemingly perfect paradise. However, when cracks in their idyllic lives appear, flashes of something sinister lurking begins to surface. Florence Pugh and Harry Styles star in this beguiling and audacious psychological thriller from director Olivia Wilde (Booksmart).

Reviews

‘Things keep barrelling along thanks to both Pugh and the plot’s punchy critique of certain recent trends in the internet’s more testosterone-raddled dark corners. With a smudgy red-lipsticked grin, Don’t Worry Darling drags them out into the blazing desert light.’
★★★★
Robbie Collin, The Telegraph

‘Pugh is phenomenal, throwing everything she has into her role and carrying large chunks of the film more or less single-handedly.’
Wendy Ide, The Observer
