Accountant William Blake has hardly arrived in a godforsaken outpost of the American West before he’s caught in a fatal lovers’ quarrel. Wounded and on the run, he falls under the watch of an outcast named Nobody, who guides him on a spiritual odyssey. Jim Jarmusch imagines the nineteenth-century American West as an existential wasteland, reckoning with industrialisation, America’s legacy of violence, and the natural cycle of life and death. Featuring austerely beautiful black-and-white photography by Robby Müller and a live-wire score by Neil Young, Dead Man is a profound and unique take on the western genre.

We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
