Marc Evans’ Mr. Burton, starring Toby Jones and Lesley Manville, delves into the life of a legendary Welsh actor; The Penguin Lessons, directed by Peter Cattaneo and starring Steve Coogan, brings warmth and humour to a remarkable true story; and Sasha Nathwani’s debut feature Last Swim offers a vibrant and visually striking coming-of-age tale that signals the arrival of an exciting new voice in British cinema.

Jianjie Lin’s Brief History Of A Family is a tense psychological thriller exploring generational divides in modern China; from France, Louise Courvoisier’s Holy Cow captures the tender complexities of adolescence in a rural town; Georgian filmmaker Déa Kulumbegashvili returns with April, a haunting meditation on autonomy, gender and justice; and from Norway, Emilie Blichfeldt directs The Ugly Stepsister, a bold reimagining of the Cinderella story through the lens of body horror and feminist critique.

Looking for a family outing this Easter? Join us for a heartwarming trip down memory lane with Spielberg’s timeless classic E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, screening on Easter Sunday 20th and Monday 21st April. Plus, our Kino Kids Cinema Club continues with fortnightly Sunday afternoon showings! Delight in the visually stunning Oscar-winner Flow, and share some laughs with Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the whole gang in the feel-good 1979 favourite The Muppet Movie.
🎞️ Antifa On Screen: A Season of Anti-Fascist Classics
Running from Sunday 4th May to Monday 9th June, our new season Antifa On Screen dives deep into some of cinema’s most powerful critiques of fascism and authoritarianism. The season begins with Charlie Chaplin’s legendary satire The Great Dictator, and closes with Bernardo Bertolucci’s haunting The Conformist. In between, we’ll be showing Juraj Herz’s surrealist nightmare The Cremator, Paul Verhoeven’s subversive action epic Starship Troopers, Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s poignant drama The Marriage of Maria Braun, and Elem Klimov’s harrowing anti-war masterpiece Come And See.
