Queen At Sea15

Directed by Lance Hammer | UK/USA | 2025 | 2h 1m | Starring Tom Courtenay, Juliette Binoche, Anna Calder-Marshall, Florence Hunt, Cody Molko

Amanda walks in on her mother Leslie and stepfather Martin in an intimate moment. It appears consensual, but Leslie has advanced dementia, and Amanda’s first instinct is to call the police. She can’t be sure that what Martin is doing is what her mother wants, and she starts to doubt he has Leslie’s best interests at heart. Juliette Binoche, Tom Courtenay and Anna Calder-Marshall star in Lance Hammer’s follow-up to Ballast, a tense and moving drama about dementia, family and what consent means when someone can no longer speak for themselves. Winner of the Silver Bear Jury Prize at the Berlin Film Festival.
