The North15

Directed by Bart Schrijver | Netherlands | 2025 | 2h 13m | Dutch w/ English subtitles | Starring Bart Harder, Carles Pulido, Olly Bassi, Gráinne Blumenthal, Matthijs van de Sande Bakhuyzen, Steve Walker

A decade after they were best friends and roommates, Chris and Lluis reunite for a 600km hike through the Scottish Highlands. Following the West Highland Way and the Cape Wrath Trail, they spend 30 days walking through remote landscapes in an attempt to rekindle a friendship that has quietly faded over time. Along the way, shifting weather, vast scenery, and encounters with fellow hikers create a backdrop for reflection and tension. In the silence of the trail, both men are forced to confront difficult truths about themselves and each other. Shot entirely in sequence along the route of the journey, Bart Schrijver’s acclaimed drama is a moving ode to friendship, endurance, and the restorative power of nature.
