Set in a world before Elvis, and Liverpool before the Beatles, a working class family come together for a wedding. It is a joyous occasion, but through flashbacks it becomes clear that the family was not always as happy. Late great Terence Davies’ poetic semi-autobiographical evocation of life growing up in post-war Liverpool is rightfully regarded as one of the greatest British films of the last 50 years.

Both screenings will be presented on 35mm film.

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
