Arrow Video presents: J-Horror Double Feature18

It’s 25 years since Sadako slowly approached our screens and terrified horror fans around the world. To celebrate, we’re partnered up with Arrow Video to present a special J-Horror Double Feature. Join us on Saturday 28th October at 8pm for a head-to-head screening of Hideo Nakata’s iconic ghost story Ringu (1998) followed by Takashi Miike’s deeply unsettling horror masterwork Audition (1999).

A limited number of £15 Double Feature tickets are available to purchase, which also includes automatic entry to our raffle prize draw featuring collection of goodies from Arrow Video (a winner will be drawn on the night). Individual tickets to both films are also available at our regular price if you’re too scared to watch both!

8–9.35pm: Ringu (1998)
A group of teenage friends are found dead, their bodies grotesquely contorted, their faces twisted in terror. When a journalist sets out to investigate the shocking phenomenon, she uncovers a creepy urban legend about a supposedly cursed videotape, the contents of which causes anyone who views it to die within a week. In 1998, director Hideo Nakata unleashed a chilling tale of technological terror on unsuspecting audiences, which redefined the horror genre and launched the J-horror boom in the West.

10pm–11.50pm: Audition (1999)
Recent widower Shigharu is advised by his son to find a new wife. Shigharu soon becomes enchanted by Asami, a quiet woman, who is immediately responsive to his charms. But soon things take a very dark and twisted turn as we find that Asami isn’t what she seems to be. One of the most notorious J-horror films ever made, legendary filmmaker Takashi Miike twists and turns us through delirious editing and shocking visuals for one of the most depraved nightmares put to screen.
