Directed by Manuela Martelli | Chile | 2022 | 1h 36m | Spanish w/ English subtitles | Starring Aline Küppenheim, Nicolás Sepúlveda, Hugo Medina, Alejandro Goic, Carmen Gloria Martínez

Carmen, a middle-class woman in her forties, is overseeing renovations to the family’s beach house when the local priest asks her to take care of a political dissident he is secretly sheltering. As General Pinochet tightens his dictatorial grip on society, Carmen finds her daily life governed by fear as she agrees to help the young man. Manuela Martelli’s directorial debut is a tensely fraught political thriller and unnerving portrayal of paranoia in 1970s Chile. Winner of Best Debut at the London Film Festival.
