Directed by Paul King | UK | 2014 | 1h 35m | Starring Sally Hawkins, Hugh Bonneville, Ben Whishaw, Julie Walters, Nicole Kidman, Michael Gambon, Peter Capaldi, Jim Broadbent

A young duffle coating-wearing, marmalade-scoffing bear travels to London from the jungles of Peru in search of a new home. Lost at Paddington Station, he meets the kindly Brown family, who offer him a temporary haven and safety from a taxidermist with evil plans. A kind-hearted family-friendly adventure that is as witty and clever as it is charming.

Reviews

‘Marmaladen with gloriously silly jokes, pitch-perfect performances and incidental detail, this is a warm, witty and wondrously inventive great big bear-hug of a movie.’
★★★★★
Chris Hewitt, Empire Magazine

‘Endearing, hilarious, and for humans of a certain vintage, tearfully nostalgic.’
★★★★
