Mifune’s Last Song15
Kresten returns to the family farm after his father’s death and finds it in disrepair. His suspicious wife is on his trail, his brother lives in the garden, and old enemies linger in the yard. The third film made under the Dogme 95 rules, Søren Kragh-Jacobsen’s darkly humorous drama explores the complex bond between two brothers, whose contrasting worldviews give rise to friction, conflict, and moments of unexpected tenderness. The film won the Silver Bear (Special Jury Prize) at the 1999 Berlin Film Festival.
Screening introduced by Film Curator Leo Krenzer.

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
