The French Dispatch15
The lives of writers, artists, and revolutionary students are explored in this anthology of amusing stories based around a fictional American newspaper in France. Critically-acclaimed director Wes Anderson has assembled a star-studded cast – including Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, and Timothée Chalamet – for this meticulously crafted, eye-catching love letter to journalism.
Reviews
‘Like the very best of Anderson’s films, The French Dispatch is both utterly exquisite and deceptively complex – a film that, like the finest of dishes, is even richer in its aftertaste.’
★★★★★
Clarisse Loughery, The Independent
‘A bold, beautifully-rendered celebration of storytelling. This one stays with you; Anderson at his melancholy best.’

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
