Young Mothers12A

Directed by Luc Dardenne & Jean-Pierre Dardenne | Belgium/France | 2025 | 1h 46m | French w/ English subtitles | Starring Babette Verbeek, Elsa Houben, Janaina Halloy, Lucie Laruelle, Samia Hilmi

At a state-run shelter for teenage mothers in Belgium, five young women learn to care for their newborns, navigate contact with adoptive families, and confront the complex legacies of their own difficult pasts. Acclaimed social-realist filmmakers Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne (Two Days, One Night) return with another deeply empathetic drama – an unflinching portrait of young people fighting to preserve their dignity in a world that often looks the other way.

🏆 Winner of Best Screenplay at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
