Directed by Na Hong-jin | South Korea | 2026 | 2h 37m | Korean w/ English subtitles | Starring Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung, Hoyeon, Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander

In the remote South Korean village of Hope Harbor, police chief Bum-seok and officer Sung-ae are called to investigate a mysterious creature wreaking havoc on the community. With reinforcements diverted to wildfires and all communication cut off, it’s down to a band of hunters, hapless police and terrified locals to identify the beast and bring it down. Na Hong-jin, the cult director of The Wailing, delivers a thrilling and unpredictable sci-fi action-adventure creature-feature.

Reviews

‘The jaw-dropping scale of it all puts most blockbusters to shame.’
★★★★★
Iana Murray, Little White Lies

‘One of the most expensive Korean films ever made, it races from modern-day western to action thriller to horror film to science-fiction epic – all while retaining the full-throttle energy and sweaty cult-movie atmosphere of a 1970s exploitation flick.’
★★★★
Nicholas Barber, BBC
