Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf? – Richard Burton at 10012A
A university history professor and his wife host a young couple newly arrived on campus. As the night wears on and the drinks keep pouring, buried tensions erupt, and the older pair subject their guests to the raw, corrosive truth of their marriage. Driven by powerhouse performances from Burton and Taylor, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is a searing adaptation of Edward Albee’s acclaimed play and a stunning directorial debut from Mike Nichols, showcasing his unflinching eye for emotional honesty.
Screening plus introduction by film studies lecturer Graham Rinaldi to mark the centenary of Richard Burton.

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
