From Eastbourne Town F.C. to Raja Club Athletic in Casablanca, ultras culture spans continents and stadiums filled with far more than just football. In this richly observed documentary, filmmaker Ragnhild Ekner traces the global phenomenon of ultra supporter groups, revealing a world driven by passion, creativity and deep-rooted community ties, as well as tensions around masculinity, identity and violence. Both expansive and intimate, the film moves beyond the headlines to explore the psychology and social meaning of collective fandom, offering a layered portrait of a culture that is as expressive and artistic as it is intense and confrontational.

Reviews
