The Teachers’ Lounge12A
When one of her students becomes a suspect in a theft, Carla, a new teacher, resolves to uncover the truth. As she navigates between her idealism and the constraints of the school system, the repercussions of her actions push her to the edge. Award-winning director İlker Çatak crafts an electrifying narrative that explores the school microcosm as a reflection of our society in this Oscar-nominated drama.
Reviews
‘It’s a sound lesson in politics – or is it biology? – but more importantly, it’s a chalk-snappingly tense watch.’

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
