The Salt Path12A

Directed by Marianne Elliott | UK | 2024 | 1h 55m | Starring Gillian Anderson, Jason Isaacs, James Lance, Hermione Norris, Megan Placito

When a couple is evicted from their home and faced with devastating medical news, they make a radical choice: to walk England’s longest continuous coastal trail, stretching from Minehead to Poole. With just a tent, a few essentials, and each other, every step tests their resilience and hope. Starring Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs, this moving adaptation of Raynor Winn’s best-selling memoir is a story of survival, healing, and the power of the human spirit.

Reviews

‘With understated performances from Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs, as well as immersive land and soundscapes that enhance the thematic pull, this portrait of loss, humanity and rebirth makes it worth the emotional investment.’
Courtney Howard, Variety

‘This modestly scaled drama… makes genuinely important points about homelessness, and the middle-class horror of ever crossing that line.’
Tim Robey, The Telegraph
