The Monkey15

Directed by Osgood Perkins | USA | 2025 | 1h 35m | Starring Theo James, Elijah Wood, Tatiana Maslany, Sarah Levy, Laura Mennell

When twin brothers Hal and Bill stumble upon their father’s old monkey toy in the attic, a string of gruesome deaths follows. Desperate to stop the carnage, they discard the toy, but years later, the killings begin again. Now, they must reunite to destroy the sinister monkey once and for all. Following the success of Longlegs, director Osgood Perkins returns with another terrifying tale – this time, adapting a short story by horror legend Stephen King.

Reviews

‘Terrifyingly brilliant…Longlegs director Osgood Perkins triumphs again with an eerie, emotionally profound tale of a malevolent wind-up toy’
★★★★★
Ellen E Jones, The Observer

‘Part Gremlins and part Final Destination, it’s a vicious little horror-comedy whose punchline is that we’re all walking around with our heads in an invisible guillotine whose blade could fall at any moment.’
