The Invite15

Directed by Olivia Wilde | USA | 2026 | 1h 47m | Starring Penélope Cruz, Edward Norton, Seth Rogen, Olivia Wilde

Joe and Angela’s marriage is on thin ice. When they invite their enigmatic upstairs neighbours to dinner, the night spirals in unexpected directions. Have they reignited the spark, or lit the fuse that burns it all down? This uproariously funny take on modern relationships pairs a razor-sharp script from Rashida Jones with knockout performances from Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton, alongside director Olivia Wilde.

Reviews

‘The performances are impeccable, the characters impossibly well balanced. Wilde the film-maker is unimpeachable here.’
★★★★★
Kevin Maher, The Times

‘Maybe there’s something about bourgeois people being embarrassed over dinner that has a certain exportable appeal. The Invite is funny … and Rogen is on top of his game.’
★★★★
Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian
