The Great Movement15
A young miner travels to the Bolivian capitol of La Paz to demand the reinstatement of his and fellow workers’ jobs. Not long after finding work at a local market, he suddenly falls ill to a mysterious ailment. Local medics can’t help, but a homeless witch doctor who lives deep in the forest offers to cure him. The winner of the Venice Film Festival’s Special Jury Prize, this mesmerising drama creates an atmosphere somewhere between nightmare and reality.
Reviews
‘Packed to the gills with formal and thematic playfulness. A dark film, but a fun one too.’

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
