The Duke of Burgundy + Director Q&A18

In a secluded world, lovers Cynthia and Evelyn live out a carefully structured relationship built on ritual and control. But as routine replaces passion, their desires begin to diverge, testing the limits of their bond. Directed by Peter Strickland (Berberian Sound Studio), this hypnotic, sensorially rich drama draws inspiration from 1970s European erotica to explore intimacy, power, and emotional vulnerability with striking sensitivity.

Screening followed by an in-person Q&A with director Peter Strickland.

The Duke of Burgundy is showing as part of a double-feature with Harry Lighton’s Pillion. Purchase tickets to both screenings (in a single transaction) and receive a 20% discount on the total cost.

‘The shifting nature of long-term relationships is explored through a couple with a fetish for butterflies and S&M and it’s a sumptuous, spellbinding, sensory experience.’
★★★★★ Katherine McLaughlin, Little White Lies

‘A meticulously choreographed erotic theatre.’
