Ish15
Best friends Ish and Maram have their bond shattered by a racially charged police stop-and-search. In the aftermath, the two boys try to make sense of the men they’re becoming, and discover that letting go can be the hardest part of growing up. The award-winning feature debut of multi-disciplinary artist Imran Perretta, co-written with playwright Enda Walsh (Hunger) and shot in striking monochrome by cinematographer Jermaine Canute Edwards (My Father’s Shadow), Ish movingly captures the fragile threshold between childhood and adolescence.

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
