Recovering addict Leon lives a clean and optimistic life thanks to the unwavering support of his gruff mentor Iver. So when Leon discovers that Iver is terminally ill, he promises to give him one last day filled with adventure and memories to be savoured. Irish filmmaker Claire Dix’s bittersweet comedy delicately balances heartwarming moments with heartbreaking realities.
Reviews
‘Even though it clocks in at a trim 90 minutes, Dix and Keogan take a lot on board here…It’s the small flourishes that distinguish Sunlight’
Fionnuala Halligan, Screen International

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
