Stewart Lee live at The Ultimate Picture Palace! 

An owl wakes up at sea in a pea green boat. It is accompanied by a cat, its natural predator. There is some honey. What chain of events led to this dangerous situation? Acclaimed comedian Stewart Lee performs his darkly comic tale based on Edward Lear’s ‘The Owl & The Pussy-cat’ live at The Ultimate Picture Palace cinema with live improvised musical accompaniment (musicians to be announced). The performance will be followed by an audience Q&A and book-signing.

These late-night performances are fundraising for The Ultimate Picture Palace’s #SaveTheUPP Campaign. Pea Green Boat by Stewart Lee and illustrated by David Waywell, will be available to buy after the show.

Tickets cost £20 each with all profits donated to the #SaveTheUPP campaign.

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
