Sick of Myself15

Directed by Kristoffer Borgli | Norway | 2022 | 1h 37m | Norwegian w/ English subtitles | Starring Kristine Kujath Thorp, Eirik Sæther, Fanny Vaager, Sarah Francesca Brænne, Fredrik Stenberg Ditlev-Simonsen

Young couple Signe and Thomas are locked in an unhealthy and competitive relationship. Increasingly overshadowed by Thomas’ recent rise to fame as a contemporary artist, Signe hatches a vicious plan to reclaim her rightfully deserved attention. In this pitch black comedy, director Kristoffer Borgli brilliantly satirises the self promotional tendencies of contemporary media and the attention seeking impulse in all of us.

Reviews

‘Pushes its own small envelope in lots of amusingly grotesque ways. Taps into something unique about the degradation that comes with modern celebrity culture.’
David Jenkins, Little White Lies

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
