Showing Up12A

Directed by Kelly Reichardt | USA | 2022 | 1h 48m | Starring Michelle Williams, Hong Chau, André Benjamin, Lauren Lakis, Jean-Luc Boucherot

A sculptor grapples with the stresses of work as she prepares to display her art at a potentially career-changing exhibition. And things would be a lot easier for if it wasn’t for her neglectful landlord, her troubled brother, and an injured pigeon entering her life. Michelle Williams stars in this affectionate, moving, and sharply comedic exploration of life as an artist, written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Kelly Reichardt (First Cow, Wendy and Lucy).

Rodrigo Perez, The Playlist

‘A modest but powerful satire…it has power, and it lingers.’
