Red Rocket18

Directed by Sean Baker | USA | 2021 | 2h 11m | Starring Simon Rex, Bree Elrod, Suzanna Son, Ethan Darbone

Having failed in Los Angeles, washed-up porn actor Mikey returns to his hometown in Texas to reunite with his estranged wife. Before long, a young girl from the doughnut shop catches his eye and he hatches a plan to make it back to Hollywood. With a phenomenal central performance by Simon Rex, this audaciously dark comedy from writer-director Sean Baker (The Florida Project) shines a light on the seedy side of the American Dream.
