Once Upon a Time in the West15

Directed by Sergio Leone | Italy/USA | 1968 | 2h 45m | Starring Claudia Cardinale, Henry Fonda, Jason Robards, Charles Bronson, Gabriele Ferzetti

A powerful railroad tycoon hires a ruthless mercenary to eliminate a landowner who controls a valuable piece of property. When the victim’s widow inherits the land, she becomes the next target. Her only hope lies with an outlaw and a mysterious gunslinger who step in to protect her. Co-written with Bernardo Bertolucci and Dario Argento, Sergio Leone’s sweeping revenge epic combines haunting, operatic visuals, memorable performances by Henry Fonda and Claudia Cardinale, and Ennio Morricone’s iconic score. The result is a timeless reflection on the legends, and the decline, of the Old West.
