A young Iraqi man enters Europe on foot at the Turkish border only to be captured by Bulgarian border police. He escapes and finds himself pursued by local mercenaries through the nearby woods. For three days and three nights he fights for his freedom on an intense journey of survival. An immersive and gripping thriller based on the true stories of migrants on the ‘Balkan route’ into Europe.
‘Haider Rashid’s film-making is bravura stuff indeed…an intense and empathic work that deserves to be seen.’
Leslie Felperin, The Guardian
‘An innovative, immersive insight into the migration crisis that also reveals much about human depravity.’
David Parkinson, Empire Magazine

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
