Dir. Prano Bailey-Bond | UK | 2021 | 1h 24m | Starring Niamh Algar, Michael Smiley, Nicholas Burns

Film censor Enid takes pride in her meticulous work, guarding audiences against the damaging effects of watching the gore-filled video nasties. One day she watches an eerie horror that alludes to the disappearance of her sister and takes it upon her herself to unravel the mystery of the film and its enigmatic director. Shrouded in period detail from 1980s Britain, Prano Bailey-Bond’s bold debut blurs the line between nightmare and reality in spine-chilling fashion.

Reviews

‘Sharp social commentary mixed with copious amounts of claret.’ ★★★★★ Adam Woodward, Little White Lies
