All Quiet on the Western Front15
At the outbreak of the First World War, a group of young men, encouraged by romantic dreams of heroism, enlist in the German army. Full of patriotic fervour, they enthusiastically march into a war they believe in. But once on the Western Front, they are soon confronted with the unbearable horror of war. A visceral and visually striking anti-war film based on Erich Maria Remarque’s renowned bestseller from 1928. Nominated for nine Oscars and winner of seven BAFTAs, including Best Film.

Wendy Ide, The Observer
‘Berger’s evocation of war and its horrors ultimately connects not at an intellectual level but where it truly matters: in the gut.’
★★★★

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
