A Haunting in Venice12A

Directed by Kenneth Branagh | UK/USA | 2023 | 1h 43m | Starring Kenneth Branagh, Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Kelly Reilly

In post-World War II Europe, the recently retired sleuth Hercule Poirot has settled into a life of self-imposed exile in Venice. With some reluctance, he attends a seance at a decaying palazzo, where one of the guests meets a tragic end and thrusts Poirot back into the role of detective. Kenneth Branagh reprises his role as the moustachioed master of mystery in this gothic, all-star whodunit, based on Agatha Christie’s novel ‘Hallowe’en Party.’

Reviews

‘A Haunting in Venice knows exactly what it’s doing. More Christie, played by A-listers having fun in a cosy-as-a-cushion, teatime ITV-drama-on-the-big-screen way — catering for a cinema audience left behind by superheroes.’
Jonathan Dean, The Times”

‘Branagh seems confident in how much you can please a crowd simply with committed performances and high-end smoke and mirrors: an enduring truth for both a movie and a medium.’
Danny Leigh, The FT

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
