Directed by Dolores Fonzi | Argentine | 2025 | 1h 48m | Spanish w/ English subtitles | Starring Gaia Garibaldi, Julieta Cardinali, Dolores Fonzi, Luis Machín, César Troncoso

In a socially conservative region of Argentina, a woman hospitalised for abdominal pain discovers she is pregnant. After suffering a miscarriage, she is charged with infanticide and imprisoned. With the support of her attorney and women’s rights advocates, she fights for justice in a landmark case that could change countless lives. This poignant, award-winning drama is based on a true story that sparked Argentina’s feminist movement and marked a crucial first step toward the legalisation of abortion in the country. Argentina’s submission for Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards.

Reviews
