A New York high school student becomes convinced that she unintentionally played a part in a tragic traffic accident that claimed a woman’s life. Overcome with guilt and emotional turmoil, she strives to make amends but faces resistance and hostility at every turn. Filmed in 2005 but not released until 2011 due to years of editing and studio disputes, Kenneth Lonergan’s (Manchester by the Sea) ambitious portrayal of a young woman’s moral crisis in post-9/11 New York has since been hailed as one of the finest films of the 21st century.

Extended Cut (3h 6m) showing Sunday 2nd February 2pm / Theatrical Cut (2h 30m) showing on Monday 3rd February 5.45pm

Reviews

‘The acting is uniformly wonderful. It’s a phoenix of a film, risen from the ashes of what looked alarmingly like failure, and it needs to be seen.’
★★★★★
Tim Robey, The Telegraph

‘This is frayed-edges filmmaking at its finest.’

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
