HerePG
After living and working in Brussels, a Romanian construction worker prepares to return home. As he starts saying his goodbyes, he forms an unexpected and meaningful friendship with a Chinese biology student. Winner of the Encounters Award at the Berlin Film Festival, Bas Devos’ tranquil feature is an emotionally resonant film about the power of observing the natural world all around us.
Reviews
‘With a plot so sparse that even a one-sentence summary threatens to spoil an hour of the movie, “Here” manages to present some of the most striking moving images in recent memory.’
★★★★★
Christian Zilko, IndieWire
‘At only 84 minutes and light on plot, at times this film feels so slight that it might just slip through your fingers. And yet its ethereality is what makes it enchanting.’

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road.We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We only show a few adverts – less than most cinemas – and we only play a couple of trailers, so please don’t be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
