White Noise15

Directed by Noah Baumbach | USA | 2022 | 2h 15m | Starring Adam Driver, Greta Gerwig, Don Cheadle, Jodie Turner-Smith, Raffey Cassidy

On a Midwestern college campus, a professor and his family face the everyday trials of a squarely ordinary and unspectacular existence. That is until an extraordinarily spectacular event throws their lives into disarray. Adapted from the cult novel by Don DeLillo, Noah Baumbach (Marriage Story, Frances Ha) holds up a hilarious and horrifying mirror to contemporary society in this sharp-witted critique of consumerism and misinformation.

Reviews

★★★★★
Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian

‘This is his most ambitious project in both scale and provenance…A charmingly gloomy film.’
★★★★
