Where the Wild Things ArePG
Nine-year-old Max, with his wild imagination, runs away after a fight at home and discovers a boat that takes him to a land of giant talking creatures. Declared their king, Max enjoys the adventure but soon learns that leadership is not as carefree as it seems. Torn between excitement and the comfort of home, Max must find his way. Adapted from Maurice Sendak’s beloved book, this film explores childhood emotions with heart and imagination.
Tickets for Kino Kids Cinema Club screenings are £4 for Children (under-15s) and £6 for Adults. Screenings are relaxed, meaning that the sound will be turned down a notch, and the lights will be up a little, and we don’t mind if people make a bit of noise or move around during the film.
All children (aged 11 and under) must be accompanied by adults at all times, nor shall we admit adults who do not have children with them. If you have any questions or need any more information about these screenings, please feel free to get in touch by emailing us at: [email protected]

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
