Tornado15
In 1790s Britain, the daughter of a Japanese puppeteer finds herself alone and hunted after her father’s travelling Samurai show collides with a band of ruthless criminals. With their stolen gold in hand and her father’s warrior teachings as her guide, she sets out on a path of vengeance. Directed by Slow West’s John Maclean, this bold, blood-soaked thriller pays homage to classic samurai cinema while blazing its own trail.
Reviews
‘It’s more that the specific combination of jidaigeki period piece, highland character study, and frontier justice that’s new, making Tornado a harrowing, blustery, violent amalgamation of an idiosyncratic spirit.’

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
