There Is No Evil15
Winner of Best Film at the 2020 Berlin Film Festival, this urgent anthology tells four stories related to Iran’s death penalty. Part thriller, part romance, and part family drama, Iranian filmmaker Rasoulof depicts the devastating moral quandary and the psychological impacts of Iran’s attitude to crime and punishment.
Reviews
‘The film’s as compassionate as it is unsettling, and as provocative as it is poignant.’
★★★★★
Roxana Hadadi, The AV Club
‘Bleakly matter-of-fact in approach, the film has a devastating cumulative power that grows with each story.’
★★★★
Wendy Ide, The Observer

Our beautiful art deco inspired auditorium can be found just off East Oxford's Cowley Road. We are open 7 days a week. We open the cinema and box office 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of each film, and the Box Office then closes 10 minutes after the film starts. We don’t show adverts, just a couple of trailers, so don't be late as the film itself starts very close to the advertised time!
